Initiate, Inquire, Innovate, Inspire (4Is) Seminar Series
The 4Is seminar series, hosted by the Community, Population Health, and Outcomes Pillar in partnership with the Smith Child Health Outcomes, Research, and Evaluation Center, is a space for individuals across the research institute (faculty, trainees, and research professionals) to workshop their ideas/works in progress and gain exposure to new skills/methods. There is no need to prepare slides or polished presentations. Time slots range from 30 to 60 minutes. Those attending will receive rigorous academic feedback, connect with potential collaborators, and strengthen our research community.
Our goal is to create a supportive community that offers feedback and critical review to Lurie Children’s investigators, helping them learn, develop, integrate, and share innovative social, behavioral, and applied research methods—especially those that emphasize community-engaged processes and participatory research.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the series will be held on the third Monday of the month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. In-person attendance is offered at 680 N. Lake Shore Drive, Room 13-028; a remote call in-option is available via Microsoft Teams. To receive the reoccurring meeting invites, please e-mail the 4Is administrator.
