Dr. Marma Perak directs the AMP Lab, which studies critical periods across the lifespan when interventions can have the biggest impact on family heart health. AMP Lab research has been cited by more than 37 clinical guidelines and professional statements from the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, USPSTF, and other organizations.
Current NIH/NHLBI-funded studies led by Dr. Marma Perak are:
- Heart-to-Heart (H2H) Study (R01 HL167876): Longitudinal study following up to 5,000 mothers and their families to understand cardiovascular health across parenthood, including preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum, including fathers/co-parents.
