Dr. Matossian completed her pediatric nephrology training at Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago (now Lurie Children's) and concomitantly received a Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation at Northwestern University. During her fellowship training, Dr. Matossian obtained experience in clinical research with focus on the pediatric kidney transplant population. Her particular research interest is on cardiovascular disease in pediatric kidney transplant recipients as well as post-kidney transplant infectious complications such as polyomavirus viremia/nephropathy. She is the principal investigator at her institution for the Improving Renal Outcomes Collaborative (IROC) as well as site principal investigator for an NIH funded study, Urological and Renal disease Engaging Adolescents in Adherence Collaborative Trial (UREAACT).
