Diane Chen, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist for the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and Behavioral Health Director for the Potocsnak Family Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She is also Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Chen is a founding psychologist of Lurie Children’s Gender & Sex Development Program where she has worked clinically with transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse young people and youth and young adults with differences of sex development/intersex variations since 2013. Her research focuses broadly on psychosocial functioning, reproductive health and fertility preservation, and medical decision-making among transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse youth and youth with differences of sex development/intersex variations.
