Jaclyn Papadakis, PhD, is a Pediatric Psychologist in the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Clinically, Dr. Papadakis specializes in treating mood, anxiety, behavioral, and adjustment disorders using evidence-based individual, family, and group psychotherapeutic approaches for youth with chronic health conditions. She works primarily with youth with spina bifida, differences of sex development, and complex urological conditions. Dr. Papadakis’ research is focused on the psychosocial functioning of youth with chronic health conditions, specifically, spina bifida, differences of sex development, urological conditions, and type 1 diabetes. She is particularly focused on topics related to the transition to adult health care and medical decision making.
