Publications and Guidelines

Proposals for all abstracts, presentation,s and publications utilizing data derived from Teen-LABS must be submitted for review and approval by the Teen-LABS Publications and Presentations Committee or SC prior to submission, in accordance with the Teen-LABS rules for publications and presentations.

Since ancillary projects must involve at least one Teen-LABS investigator in a collaborative relationship, each abstract, presentation, and manuscript should also include a Teen-LABS investigator as coauthor to recognize their participation. This condition should be met unless extenuating circumstances exist that should be stated and justified as part of the original submission to the ASSC.

All publications, presentations, and abstracts derived from an approved ancillary study must acknowledge support from the Teen-LABS Consortium grant as well as the specific support for the ancillary study.

Acknowledgement

In drafting these guidelines, the Teen-LABS ASSC had the benefit of ancillary studies guidelines developed previously for the NIDDK-funded LABS consortium. LABS ancillary studies guidelines, both concepts and, in some instances, specific language were borrowed from ancillary studies policies developed for the NIDDK and NHLBI-sponsored Virahep-C project, the LOOK Ahead and Halt C Trials, and the NASH CRN.
