Following this session, participants should be able to
· understand the purposes of RNIs, key terminology, and the differences from Incident reports in Cayuse IRB).
· identify types of RNI submissions.
· recall steps for submitting RNIs within the RASCAL IRB system.
· explore the IRB review process and the collaborative role of QA/QI team in ensuring compliance.
Description
This training will provide research professionals and investigators an overview of the Report of New Information (RNI) process in RASCAL IRB system. Participants will learn the differences between incidents in Cayuse IRB and RNIs in RASCAL IRB and the types of RNI submissions. Additionally, this session will include a system walkthrough, an explanation of the IRB review process, and practical scenarios to ensure understanding and application.
