Maria Dowell, MD, is the Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago and Co-director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Development Network. The Cystic Fibrosis Center team focuses on combining clinical practice excellence with education and research. Their goal is not only to deliver the highest quality care but to continue to improve that care. The well-rounded, successful care center includes clinical excellence, active clinical research trials, engagement in education, and ongoing translational research. The Cystic Fibrosis Center has a solid foundation that provides a rich environment for excellence in clinical care, support for cystic fibrosis clinical and translational research, and training for future cystic fibrosis care providers.
